First off, thanks to Ambrosine of I Like Bubbles for giving me the idea for this blog post. She talked about cooldowns, and used Innervate as an example, leading to this post.

So, without further ado, I give you Innervate: When, Where, and Why.

Innervate: Causes the target to regenerate mana equal to 225% of the casting druid’s base mana pool over 10 seconds. 3 minute cooldown.

Glyph of Innervate: Innervate now grants the caster 45% of his/her base mana pool over 10 seconds in addition to the normal effects of Innervate.

Cool! Druids can regen their mana, lovely. However, notice that ’causes the target‘ to regenerate mana? Sometimes druids are asked to save their Innervate for someone else. If they don’t have their own mana giving device, well, okay. Especially if you know you don’t need it my precious you can’t have my precious GOLLUM. However, if you’re OOM and you have a mana regen device you haven’t used, do NOT ask your neighborhood tree for their innervate. If there is a kitty, go ahead and ask. We don’t need it. DO NOT ASK YOUR BEAR TANK. WE CANNOT SWITCH OUT WITHOUT GIVING OUR HEALER A HEART ATTACK. Your Moonkin is a alternative if you’ve asked them beforehand so they’ve planned around it.

When to use Innervate: Raids and Heroics on Boss fights or during a facepull. Arenas… Um… I DON’T KNOW GO ASK A PVPER!!!

Raids: Use it when all of it will be put to use and not wasted. That’s one of my pet peeves, seriously. Don’t use it because ‘oh hey, 70% mana…’. Use it because ‘hey, I’ve got really low mana, and the end of the fight’s not coming soon.’ G’lord people, don’t use it when you’re only getting 10% of the effect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heroics: Just use it on boss fights when you need the mana, or if you are in Halls of Reflection/Violet Hold. Basically: Anytime where you need the mana NOW and you can’t drink really soon. In between pulls, they can wait for you to drink, honest! If they don’t, then they are bad, not you.

Arenas: UM WHEN YOU NEED TO GOSH.

Where: Raids, Heroics…. Um…. for the pretty glowwy  effects in roleplay….

Why: Because you need the ©ø∂嵘´∂ ƒ¨ç˚ˆ˜© mana! Not because ‘oh look that person hasn’t used all their cooldowns yet let’s save them one’! Nonono, you need your cooldown, they have their own, shoo, shoo, go heal!

Sidenote: Use rejuvenation. USE IT ALWAYS! DO NOT SAY ‘Bah, Nourish is better’. Okay, okay, you have your (Wrong) opinion… but rejuv makes nourish BETTER SO USE IT. ALSO REGROWTH IS GOOD!!!!!

P.S. Beware the druid known as Packa. He is a fail healer who believes that rejuv is a ‘haha, maybe sometimes’ spell.
