Good news, Everyone!

I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist the Prof.Putricide quote…

….So, this happened when I wasn’t blogging.

Before the 20% nerf, I went in and healed Cho’gall to 32% with a very nice guild, and they mentioned they would be interested in bringing me into that guild. And I’ve thought about it, and then tonight/last night(July8th)

Sadly after the nerf….

I went in with the same people. Well, they also had PuGs like the last time. I was told that, apparently, I am a very good healer. *shrug*, sure. (there was no squeeing involved when they invited me back in or when I was told that. At all. Vicious lies, all of it.)

We beat up Cho’gall in one try, and moved on to BWD, because the night hadn’t even started yet and who wanted to quit then?!

We beat up Magmaw, and Omnomnomnitron, and Maloriak. And then wiped once twice three times on Chimy. We weren’t spreading back out quickly enough after the ‘bot went online. We’ll probably get it tonight then, and I can start posting what I think of all the fights.

Yessssss. Blog post time… *watches downloader* oh, yeah, blog post.

TO DO LIST:

Respec Druid, Shaman, Death Knight, Priest, Warlock, Hunter. Check other realms, respec paladin.

Druid: Feral/90%sure Resto. Although, I might just leave it blank or not log back on to my druid. She’s logged in Tree form, dancing with her tedrassil sproutling. Oh, who am I kidding, I love my druid, and I love healing and faceripping. Feral/Resto she is!

I’m going with this for feral and this for resto. Feral is focused more on leveling, while resto is still orientated towards healing groups, still. I’m going to grab furor as I level her in cata in resto– who could pass up 15% more mana?

Shaman: Resto/Something. Ehn has WOLVES. *cough* And she’s lost riptide to my great annoyance, because I was loving having a HoT to use on her.

Death Knight: Blood. She’s my RP char, and although I’ve moved a bit away from her blood-hysteria rage, I’ve been building towards having her get a bit more violent again, because frost and unholy is something the other 2 people are, and we don’t really WANT to switch. I love rune tap too much to give it up like that.

Priest: Lvl 8(or)13. PEW PEW LAZERS! I made the mistake of putting point in holy on my lvl 13 priest, but now she’s going to have lazers, and so will my lvl 8 priest when she gets to 10. Although furbolgs just LOVE to eat her.

Warlock: Always been a demonologist on her, and she’s staying that way. Felguard!

Hunter: Beast Mastery! MY hunter has always been BM and she’ll always be BM.

Paladin: Gosh, I think I have a paladin I’m not really sure, but she’s going to go healer or tank. Healer… and I’d have one alt of every healer… tank.. and I’d have a tank. I’ll think about it.

Everyone: Have fun with patch 4.01, but remember to mourn the trees!

First off, thanks to Ambrosine of I Like Bubbles for giving me the idea for this blog post. She talked about cooldowns, and used Innervate as an example, leading to this post.

Also: This… will be ranty

So, without further ado, I give you Innervate: When, Where, and Why.

Innervate: Causes the target to regenerate mana equal to 225% of the casting druid’s base mana pool over 10 seconds. 3 minute cooldown.

Glyph of Innervate: Innervate now grants the caster 45% of his/her base mana pool over 10 seconds in addition to the normal effects of Innervate.

Cool! Druids can regen their mana, lovely. However, notice that ’causes the target‘ to regenerate mana? Sometimes druids are asked to save their Innervate for someone else. If they don’t have their own mana giving device, well, okay. Especially if you know you don’t need it my precious you can’t have my precious GOLLUM. However, if you’re OOM and you have a mana regen device you haven’t used, do NOT ask your neighborhood tree for their innervate. If there is a kitty, go ahead and ask. We don’t need it. DO NOT ASK YOUR BEAR TANK. WE CANNOT SWITCH OUT WITHOUT GIVING OUR HEALER A HEART ATTACK. Your Moonkin is a alternative if you’ve asked them beforehand so they’ve planned around it.

When to use Innervate: Raids and Heroics on Boss fights or during a facepull. Arenas… Um… I DON’T KNOW GO ASK A PVPER!!!

Raids: Use it when all of it will be put to use and not wasted. That’s one of my pet peeves, seriously. Don’t use it because ‘oh hey, 70% mana…’. Use it because ‘hey, I’ve got really low mana, and the end of the fight’s not coming soon.’ G’lord people, don’t use it when you’re only getting 10% of the effect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heroics: Just use it on boss fights when you need the mana, or if you are in Halls of Reflection/Violet Hold. Basically: Anytime where you need the mana NOW and you can’t drink really soon. In between pulls, they can wait for you to drink, honest! If they don’t, then they are bad, not you.

Arenas: UM WHEN YOU NEED TO GOSH.

Where: Raids, Heroics…. Um…. for the pretty glowwy  effects in roleplay….

Why: Because you need the ©ø∂嵘´∂ ƒ¨ç˚ˆ˜© mana! Not because ‘oh look that person hasn’t used all their cooldowns yet let’s save them one’! Nonono, you need your cooldown, they have their own, shoo, shoo, go heal!

Sidenote: Use rejuvenation. USE IT ALWAYS! DO NOT SAY ‘Bah, Nourish is better’. Okay, okay, you have your (Wrong) opinion… but rejuv makes nourish BETTER SO USE IT. ALSO REGROWTH IS GOOD!!!!!

P.S. Beware the druid known as Packa. He is a fail healer who believes that rejuv is a ‘haha, maybe sometimes’ spell.

ZOMG! Wait, phooey, does this mean Beta’s out? No, BRK is still posting Alpha doings while not breaking NDA.

According to Blizz, the talent trees are 90/90/85% finished. SO THEY CAN CHANGE.

Link to talent build: http://cata.wowhead.com/talent#0

I’m going to start with analyzing the Tree Talents. Kitty Bear talents in a few days. (Edit: Ah-heh-heh-heh, I’m going away on a familial vacation for  approx 10-13 days… soooo…. Ah-heh. Wait a bit longer.)

These are obviously subject to change. Especially the ©ø∂∂嵘´∂ tree talent.

Tier 1 Resto talents:
Blessing of the Grove 0/2: Increases the healing done by your Rejuvenation by 2/4%, the direct damage of your Moonfire by 3/6%, and the damage done by your Claw and Shred by 2/4%.

A direct bonus to our Rejuv, this will be something every Resto Druid will pick up, as Furor remains useless to us.

Nature’s Focus 0/3: Reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attack while casting Healing Touch, Wrath, Entangling Roots, Cyclone, Nourish, Tranquility and Regrowth by 23/46/75%.

Still the same, but now we’ll have to take it to get to tier 2.

Improved Mark of the Wild has been removed.

Furor 0/5: Still useless, not changed. MOVING ONWARDS *fume*

Tier 2 Resto Talents:

Perseverance 0/5: Reduces all spell damage taken by 2/4/6/8/10%

PVP! Now if I actually did PvP, this could be interesting. This has taken the place of Naturalist, which has been moved down a tier (QQ feral druids) to where Intensity now stands. Intensity has been removed.

Subtlety 0/3: Reduces threat caused by Resto spells by 10/20/30%

Now no longer of interest to Balance druids, this just give Restos a straight 10/20/30% reduction in threat. I couldn’t care less, except it looks like we might have to pick this up. Until I see threat issues in Cata, I’ll reserve judgement.

Natural Shapeshifter 0/3: Reduces the mana cost of all shapeshifting by 10/20/30%

This spell, and the one it leads into, Master Shapeshifter are still the same.

Tier 3 Resto Talents:

Naturalist 0/5: Reduces the cast time of your Nourish and Healing Touch spells by .1/.2/.3/.4/.5 sec and increases the damage you do in all forms by 2/4/6/8/10%

By throwing Nourish into the pot, this spell becomes a lot more attractive for druid tank healers. A fast, boosted-by-HoTs spell? I would expect some changes to the Nourish spell or a nerf to talent or spell when Beta pops and Blizzard receives feedback.

Omen of Clarity 0/1: It remains the same, a bulwark against the changes around us.

Yay.

Master Shapeshifter 0/2: Grants an effect which lasts while the druid is in the respective shapeshift form. Tree of Life: Increases healing by 2/4%.

…Okay, say it with me, WTF!? We’re not going to be in tree form nearly as much, and they said they would redistribute the effects of it into talents. Why hasn’t that gone away? We become super-healer with… special sprinkles on top? Phoooooo, Blizzard. Stick that into some self-buff!

Tier 4 Resto Talents:

Improved Rejuvenation 0/3: Increases the effect of your Rejuvenation and Swiftmend spells by 5/10/15%.

Straight up buff, yahoo. This is part of Blizzard’s ‘okay stick all the tree form stuff into here and c’mon we can cram it in!’ Ah =P ffffft. However, this does do very nice things to Swiftmend, and makes me a happy druid. (But not a tree, cause we won’t be trees anymore, remember?)

Tranquil Spirit 0/5: Still the same, but I would warrant it’ll become much more important because we’ll have to manage our mana more. ATM, my druid does not use it and she has no problems healing through Marrowgar and Deathwhisper without an Innv half of the time.

Tier 5 Resto Talents:

Nature’s Swiftness 0/1: Same old spell. Wonderful when macro’d to Healing Touch!

Improved Tranquility 0/2: Reduces the threat caused by Tranquility by 50/100% and reduces the damage you take while channeling Tranquility by 25/50%

…Tranquility with no threat and you take less damage while casting it? Huh, cool. But the cool down is no longer being reduced 30/60%, making it less useful, but still good for the correct situations.

Tier 6 Resto Talents:

Living Seed 0/3: This is the same as the old talent, but it now leads into an über-cool talent below it.

über-cool talent is über-cool.

Nature’s Bounty 0/5: For rank 1 (and I assume the other later) Increases the critical-effect chance of your Regrowth spell on targets at or below 25% health, and you have a 20% chance when you critically heal with Healing Touch or Nourish to reduce the remaining cool down on your swiftmend spell by .5 sec.

AHH SQUEE but WAIT. This is no longer a flat increase to critical effect chance, but is instead highly situational. But, to counteract that, we get the cookie of being able to reduce the cool down on Swiftmend with critical heals. Ironically, we get this talent before Swiftmend. This is a sneaky nerf—buff to compensate.

Fury of Stormrage 0/3: You have a 5/10/15% chance when you cast Healing Touch or Nourish to be instant cast and cost no mana. Fury of Stormrage lasts 8 sec.

PVP, can you say it with me, PVP! Or this might have something to do with ‘Druids need to be able to DPS while healing even though we want you to have to manage your mana LOLZ’

Tier 7 Resto Talents:

Swiftmend 0/1: Consumes a Rejuvenation of Regrowth effect on a friendly to instantly heal the target for 5306.

I would call HUGE AS NEVER BEFORE SEEN NERF if I didn’t realize that this is most likely a simple placeholder. Or a mistake.

Empowered Touch 0/2: Your Healing Touch heals for 5% more on target at or below 25% health, and your Nourish has a 50% chance to refresh the duration of Lifebloom on your targets.

In Rank 2, it goes back to Live Version. I’m sad to lose the healing bonus on Nourish, but I love the refreshing Lifebloom because I love to stack tanks with it. Also, Blizzard seems to be pushing Healing Touch as a viable heal without glyphing it into uselessness. …I guess… yay… although this means finally a guildie will be right and I’ll be using Healing Touch without Nature’s Swiftness.

Tier 8 Resto Talents:

Efflorescence 0/3: When you critically heal with your Regrowth spell you also sprout a bed of healing flora under the target, healing all friendly targets within 15 yards who stand on them for 10/20/30% of the amount healed by your Regrowth every 1 sec for 7 sec.

Ah Woooooo-hoooo can you say über-cool Lightwell with me? sprout it under a tank and you’ve got melee being healed. Stack your ranged and you’ve got ranged being healed. Of course, people won’t move on to the darned thing because ‘moving impairs dps lololol l2play!’ Has it occurred to you that DYING will DRASTICALLY impede your dps? FAR more than moving, because there won’t BE any dps!

Empowered Rejuvenation 0/5: The bonus effects of your healing-over-time and Swiftmend spells is increased by 4/8/12/16/20%

Straight up buff! Adds on some yummy Swiftmend goodness to this talent.

Natural perfection 0/3: Critical strikes against you give you the natural perfection effect, reducing all damage taken by 2/3/4%. Stacks up to 3 times. Lasts 8 sec.

…Mooo, I preferred old one. Moar spell critical chance! Uhhh…. since all this Cata talent stuff make me think we’ll need it..

Tier 9 Resto Talents: (Pertaining to the much QQed over spell, Tree of Life)

Revitalize 0/3: When your Regrowth or Lifebloom spell heal-over-time periodic damage(?) critically hits, you instantly regenerate 1/2/3% of your total mana. Cannot occur more than once every 6 sec.

Meh. Yes, Meh. One the one hand, Wooooo, we get a mana regen. But… Um… Well, if it worked over the raid people would luf us because it used to regen mana, rage, runic power AND energy. I guess it would’ve been OP, but this new version suits me just fine, especially with the news of ‘You will NEED to conserve your mana and not be whack-a-mole healer’.

Tree of Life. Tree of WE WANT OUR FORM BACK QQQQQQQQ(and yes I qq’d with ya) Life. 0/1: Shapeshift into the Tree of Life, increasing healing done by 15% and armor by 240%, but reducing your movement speed by 50%. In addition, some of your spells are temporarily enhanced while in Tree Form. Lasts 45 sec, 5min CD.

Uhhh….Uh……. Why movement speed? This really needs a post for itself.

Improved Tree of Life 0/3: Reduces the cooldown of ToL by 30/60/90sec and increases your damage done by 15% while in ToL .

WTFBBQ?!?!?!?!! Damage in ToL form lololol? Yay reduced CD, but…… Wuh buh duh Blizzard, I thought we weren’t allowed to dps in ToL and that’s why you nerfed it? Argle mixed messages!!! I don’t understand what Blizz wants to do here.

Tier 10 Resto Talents:

Improved Barkskin 0/2: Grants 80/160% additional armor contribution from cloth and leather armor while in travel form or while not shapeshifted. In addition, the damage reduction granted by your Barkskin is increased by 5/10%.

Exactly the same as the old Barkskin, except we are losing the 5/10% reduction to likelihood of it being dispelled. Poor PVPers, but I don’t think this is going to impact raiding druids, unless we start to see more fights like the Champions in Tot(G)C 10/25.

Gift of the Earthmother 0/5: Increases the healing done by your Tranquility to targets at or below 25% health by 4%, increases the healing done by the bloom effect of your Lifebloom by 2%, and your Rejuvenation also instantly heals 3% of the total periodic effect.

The other ranks are not available yet, so I can’t say anything about them. This is no longer a flat increase to spell haste (it’s not an increase to spell haste at ALL), or a reduction on LIfebloom GCD, but an interesting talent to change how our HoTs work. I would drool over the Rejuvenation effect, but how often will we need that? On a target that’s low on health, I would Regrowth/Rejuv/Nourish if needed, not Rejuv/Oops they died. Or Rejuv/Regrowth Swiftmend, and I guess that’s where this talent would come into play for me. On the Lifebloom effect, I can only say YAY more heals if it bloom when we need it. I stack my Lifeblooms, and only let them bloom when I have to, so this is a good change for me. Although now I’ll need yet MOAR HASTE. Yes I’m slightly obsessed. I declare this a buff!

The Final Tier! Tier 11 Resto Talent:

Wild Growth: Heals up to 5 friendly party or raid members within 15 yards of the target for 2905 over 7 sec. The amount healed is applied swiftly at first, then slows down as the Wild Growth reaches its full duration. 66% Base Mana. (Up from 23%)

…..ARfbrgle? We’re going to see gigantic pools of mana in Cataclysm, I know that, but 66% base mana is a lot. ..Ah phoo, I logged in resto spec. Well, let’s say as a feral with no +intellect, I have a mana pool of 6000, a nice round number. Multiply that by .66 (or {(2/3)*6000}. That’s roughly equivalent to 4000 mana. Rather a lot, isn’t it, especially when our base mana pool is going to be growing in Catacylsm? Maybe our pools of mana will be enough to handle it. We’ll have vast tracts of mana! (But Da, I don’t care about any of that. I just want to… sing!/No no no, stop that, no singing.)

Final wrap-up?

We’ve got buffs, we’ve got nerfs, and none of it balances out the fact we’ve lost Tree form.

Angry Tree!

Glyphs, Glyphs, Glyphs.

My current major glyphs are Glyph of Innervate, Glyph of Rebirth, and Glyph of Nourish. I’ll explain my reasoning behind all three, and why I’m making some changes to this set.

I’ve got Glyph of Innervate because I raid in PuGs, and there will be someone who will call out ‘Toss me an innv, I need mana.’ If I know I won’t need it, I’ll pass it to them. But sometimes there’s mana-intensive fights that I need my innervate on, and so if I toss it to them I still get some of the benefit. Most of the time I first ask if they’ve used their mana-regaining abilities. While I’m on this, warlocks…. Please don’t lifetap down without calling it out so that you’ll have HoTs and not die to random RNG. Or Koralon.

Glyph of Rebirth is kept for the same reason- when someone goes down, especially if it’s a tank, I want them back up at full health. PuGs are not perfect and I can’t assume another druid will have the glyph. Heck, I can’t even assume there will be another druid. One time in a 25 man VoA pug, there was no other druid. So of course only moonkin gear dropped. It helps save the time to heal up a tank, when during that time a boss can be decimating the dps or the healers.

Glyph of Nourish is the glyph I’ll likely be dropping. I’ve got enough gear I don’t need it tanking healing in heroics. I’ll probably be switching it out for Glyph of Swiftmend. The better glyph for me at the moment, Glyph of Swiftmend allows me to roughly equal an instant-cast nourish. I can work out the math later and stick in a different post. Feel free to work it out yourself and comment to that effect =D. Now if only there was a smaller cooldown to swiftmend… but that would be OP.

What, did you expect me to lay out all the glyphs and recommend them? Well, for casual puggers, I would go with this set of glyphs. It helps cover for people’s mistakes while helping you. Innervate/Rebirth/Swiftmend. Feel free to change them out, the only one I have to strongly recommend is, ironically, the one I need to slot in, the Swiftmend glyph.

How I Blog.

Hello again

mm-hmm. My computer hates secure connections. Welcome back from the holidays with a HoR run-through.

You enter the unhallowed halls and a chill runs down your spine… the chill…. of much text. I won’t spoil it for you, but after a few times it gets boring and a bit ho-hum, get on with it. Eventually the Lich King will come down the hallway and speak… MORE. At this point you begin to wonder if anything will ever become attackable. However, those fears soon go away as the Lich King calls in his two companions…. Falric and Marwyn!

This will begin a fight like in the Violet Hold. After 5 waves of ghosts, with 3-4 ghosts to a wave, Falric will engage. This will be a lot easier if you have someone who can dispell magic in your group. If you don’t, expect a death or two but work very hard to prevent that. There will be fears, magic DoTs, and lots of damage all around. Keep HoTs up on everyone during this fight, and if you have glpyh of swiftmend, you’ll be saving yourself a lot of re-applications.  Once you take him down, on normal you might get a nice helm upgrade(Fallen Sentry’s Hood, ilvl219). After the last ghost waves, you’ll come to fight Falric’s Deathknight like brother, Marywn.

If Falric was horrible for you, you probably won’t like Marwyn either. Don’t bother dispelling his effects, because one of them will split the damage to everyone. For the healers, it’s like Falric. Roll the HoTs on everyone, and toss a lifebloom or two on those who have a well of corruption, or, if you prefer, dark purple hard to see circle that does damage. They need to run out of that, by the way, because otherwise they will die horribly. Marwyn has Frayed Abomination Stitching Shoulders on normal and Ephemeral Snowflake, a yummy trinket for those having problem in mana regen or looking to shuffle gems. He’ll also drop Sightless Crown of Ulmaas and Suspiciously Soft Gloves.

Tanks, if you can hold aggro on all of these, it’s a tank n’ spank. If you’re low on health, pop your emergency buttons one at a time and don’t yell at your healers “OMG WHERE ARE TEH HEALS!?” We’re healing you just as fast as we can, and yelling at us does not increase our haste. Falric will give you a nice cloak:Eerie Runeblade Polisher(which Marwyn drops also) on normal and Spaulders of Black Betrayal on heroic. Marwyn will give you Carpal Tunnelers on normal(along with cloak) and Choking Hauberk on heroic.

Then… when these 2 people are vanquished, you will walk up the hallways to the Lich King only to see (Insert Faction Appropriate person here) almost dead against the might of the Lich King. She’ll freeze him, giving your group a head start as you flee from his wrath. He’ll put up 4 ice barriers that your faction person will break down. This will only happen once you’ve killed the waves of ghouls the Lich King will send to slow you down. You’ve got to hurry to hurry in this process, because he’s slowly walking towards you, and if he catches up you are dead. D-E-A-D, even shadowmelded. (As I found out from a PuG). And since this final boss drops so many pieces both restoration and feral druids can use, I’m linking it to you and muttering something about haste and celestial focus.

Patch 3.3, Impressions pt 2

Dungeons.(updated)

I remember way back on the PTR when the forgemaster guys was bugged. He jumped away and never ever came back. Was sad =( I haven’t really gone into the new dungeons, so my advice here will be all from the last PTR patch before it was released. Sorry y’all, I will fix this situation. But anyhoo. Forge of Sauron, let’s start with that. The forgemaster is a pretty simple fight. Mostly. Keep him faced away from the group, because then they’ll know when he’s trying to throw saronite on them. When that happens, they need to run. NO I don’t care if it messes with your dps, do it! Once the big chunk of saronite is thrown, he’ll jump over to his forge and make himself a new weapon. (‘Now you’re making me angry!’, anyone?) Everyone needs to get behind the big chunk of saronite and kill the adds that spawn. He’ll be casting an AoE, but if you did what I told you to, and GOT BEHIND THE BIG CHUNK OF SARONITE, then you’ll be fine and not taking damage. This happens 2-3 times and then he’s dead on you get your pretty purple pixels. Just the usual keep HoTs up, blah blah for healing. Tanks…. erm…. just position yourselves and get behind the saronite and you should be fine.

Krick and Ick, anyone?

Ick, a plague bomb, eruptor, whatever is a minion to Krick the leper gnome, who’s a big pansy. This fight is,for healers, OMGOMGPOSIONCLEANSECLEANSEACKHEALTANNKHEALEREVERYONEAHHH! Or you can keep your cool, but I’m not to good at that. BAsically: Lots of stuff on the floor to move out of, AoE’s that you hopefully don’t have to worry about because you’re far enough away, RIGHT? RIGHT? and poison. And run away if they pursue you. EheheheheheheheheehhHAHAHAHAHAHA or they will go “lol2hitkolol”. Tanks, run away from green blobs on the ground. And occasionally, Krick will call out a bomb AoE you need to move away from. At the end, Ick dies and Krick is a big coward and is killed by mysterious figure A. -nodnod-

You know? I’ll finish this when I’m not half-delirious from needing sleep.

Then you get to run a gauntlet! You lucky people <3. Run as far up as you can, apply HoTs on all, because the mobs can randomly aggro onto the dps. Do NOT automatically assume it is the dps’ fault! ALWAYS check to make sure it wasn’t your fault. Tanks, pop your AoE aggro effects. ONCE you finish that, you’ll get into an icy cave where you need to stay out of green circles because you’ll get hurt if you stand in them like whatshimname, Hodir? Yeah. Hodir. Where eventually.. if you’ve been good… and you haven’t pouted or cried… you’ll come out and find…

SCOURGELORD TYRANNUS!(Mysterious Figure A) Give him a round of applause, ladies and gents, he got far enough in the arena season to win a frostwyrm! After a bit of dialogue, he’ll jump off of it and begin the fight. If you’ve got ranged dps, get them on him while he talks and then have the tank(maybe you, maybe not) pick him up when he drops. His frostwyrm, Rimefang will be flying overhead shooting frostbolts at people, and you can’t target him and kill him. If you get a big red arrow over your head, run around but not close to other people, because rimefang wants to be your BESTEST friend, but he doesn’t know how to do that any way but shooting frostbolts at you so you can be scourged. Now the Scourgelord has a powerful bit of spike damage that he’ll cast every so often. You need to have all hots on tank and be casting a big heal, or as a tank pop your survival instincts if you can see the healer won’t be able to make it. Now after he’s done this, he likes empowering himself. Remember how Rimefang wants to be your BESTEST friend? Run over the ice that he’s been shooting to slow down the scourgelord while he’s empowered, otherwise he’ll go “Lawlzpewpewpewyoudead!” Now if the dps receives the scourgelord’s mark, they need to STOP DOING DAMAGE and try not to get hurt, because their damage will be hurting the tank and healing done to them will be done to the scourgelord, but bigger heals. NO I DON’T CARE IT’S AFFECTING YOUR DPS, GO SIT IN A CORNER! Once you’ve done all of this and killed him, Rimefang will be sad watching his second bestest buddy die, and fly away. And you get more pretty purple pixels!

-Brought to you be only SLIGHTY hyper/sleepy (how does that work anyways?) Alienea. And I sprained my ankle and my pinkie finger, ow. And when I say tomorrow, I get around to it at night you if I say tomorrow on tuesday come back on thursday.

Edit: Updated post

2nd Edit:Fixed some typos

Patch 3.3

It’s my Birthday Tomorrow. There will be a Birthday Post.

I get I yummiliciouswonderifuleric black&white cake. YumYUMyuM!

So, I’ve heard on the grapevine patch 3.3 has dropped. I have no clue, because, hey, school is evil. Good luck with that…shoo…shoo…-cry in corner- ANYWAYS. I hear balance druids are happy or something unless they’re PvPers. And… and feral druids are just trundling along going extinct, really we are! We have to compete with rogues and–that’s a post for another time. Restoration druids have rejuv, last I checked, staying the same. (Yay) AND..I’m just sort of sitting here happy I went on PTR so that I’m not completely heartbroken over this. Maybe I can get on this weekend… Heck, get back to raiding. TotC10/25, if I’m really really lucky.. last time I was in there I got 2 tanking items and nothing for healz, sadly. Also no trophies. But I can hope. I’m going back to sobbing in a corner now, and handing it off to my shaman. who recently lvled. Twice. -walks off to corner with LotR while muttering-

….Is she gone? Hello, I’m the shaman. I recently leveled(twice) once by her and once by her friend who took pity on me and leveled me. Her initial shalt be V. Thank you, V. Do post if you want that to be edited. I’ve got pretty totems and stuff, but not much is new in shaman land, except for the fact I escaped STV, thank the elements, and ran away to dustwallow marsh. It’s boring here, but it is heaven compared to stranglethorn vale. MORDOR WOULD BE HEAVEN COMPARED TO STRANGLETHORN VALE— wait, I’ve just been told Mordor doesn’t exist in this dimension. OH well. Mount Doom, anyone? Patch 3.3 would’ve been a very happy thing for me…. chain dungeoning so that I could level swiftly swiftly swiftly, but it was not to be, sadly. And… I’m going to go follow Alienea and cry. To myself. and if you tell anyone….I’ll cast no haelz on you. Never.

Onyxia

(this is the third time I’ve had to retype after safari crashing. Anger.)
RIGHT! ONYXIA! It’s a sad thing if PuGs wipe on her, because 10/25 Onyxia is on farm for everyone. She was on farm the day she came out.

I’ve never been Mt on Onyxia, so I cannot give you advice there. 30k health is, apparently, not enough to tank her, but I’m not so sure. Oh well. Feralbear druids, spam your swipe button if you are on the whelps. Spam spam spam spam, because the dps are all going to be on different whelps or AoEing. OH the adds, it’s a tank and spank unless our group doesn’t have the dps to get the adds down before another one comes to you, in which case you are not going to have a very good time. They’re a basic tank and spank, except for their AoE attack, which dps especially should run away from.

Healer info after the break. (Lunch time yay!)

Yeah, yeah. The break took a while. But, hey… My computer decided it couldn’t handle secure connections. But now, I can continue/

Healers, specifically resto druids, you should be happy with Ony. When you’re on raid, you shouldn’t have to do anything in Phase One unless you have people standing in front of her(usually a 1HKO) or if you have a ‘lock lifetapping. Or whatever they call that spell that converts life to mana, I’m not a warlock, I don’t know. However, in phase 2, you’re going to be running between the melee (on adds/whelps) and ranged(always on Ony, as far as I can tell). Hopefully you have 2 raid healers, because there’s ALWAYS someone in the very back and someone in the very front, so you can’t position yourself halfway and only move a bit. Phase 3, blanket rejuv and cast nourish/regrowth if people dip lower than 90-95% health. If you’re REALLY lucky, you’ll be able to keep everyone at 100% because you’ll have a nice grouping, but with the fear she casts, it is highly unlikely that that will happen.

P.S. Sorry for taking so long to re-update… I was tired and lunch took forever -.-

Resto Shamany Goodness.

-waves- I’m Shaniana. Alienea told me that because I would be here, I had to talk. (She got the idea from 4 haelz. Go check it out, very nice resto druid blog.) Well, I’m here, sitting at 35 with a few heirlooms, hoping to get leveled. I thank the guildies that are nicely running me through, because guess what? I’m masochistically leveling restoration. I can heal through 6 mobs hitting on me while a different lvl 35 kills them, but I can’t kill them. So I’m going to heal in Alterac Valley if I ever get up to level 51. Unlikely, but possible. Maybe. I’m off to heal some idiots in battlegrounds(you know who you are), and hopefully some smart people also!
